Erica Avey, not Avery. Always writing. Sensations and ideas. Things I notice. Mostly poems and articles about drugs.

My writing has been published in DoubleBlind, Psymposia, Awakenings magazine, Human Parts, and Michael Pollan’s Trips Worth Telling series. My psychedelic inquiry has been featured in The Economist, The Guardian, Women’s Health UK, Al Jazeera, and Psychology Today. Previously I managed blog and newsletter content at Clue, a female health app, and Ticketfly, a ticketing platform for venues and festivals (now Eventbrite). BA in Communication from USF and post-bacc certificate in Psychology from UC Berkeley Extension. Mother of a terrier-chihuahua.
